COUNTRYSIDE

“The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul.”

Alfred Austin

Not really an early morning as commonly referred to by those living in the country, but still an early morning for me…

A cool breeze played as a background song, accompanying the sunrise and what would slowly become the midday heat in a sunny August day.

Sudden desires, childhood memories flowing through my head generating almost a need…

That’s how I found myself walking in the countryside between the almond and the olive trees. Setting foot in that field where my feet had once left temporary footprints in the ground that were much smaller than today.

A land that I learned to get in touch with, a nature that has been part of my childhood and that will always be part of my soul.

That’s how my morning went by today in touch with souls that have walked and worked over the same land years and years back.
